Fabyan Forest Preserve
Geneva is home to the Fabyan Forest Preserve a scenic park with meandering paths along the Fox River. Visitors are invited to tour the riverbank estate of the Fabyan family, including the Fabyan Japanese Garden and Fabyan Villa Museum. The preserve also has an authentic, five-story Dutch windmill. Fox River Trail
The Fox River Trail follows the banks of the Fox River for 40 miles in Kane County. This popular trail is used for biking, hiking, cross-country skiing, and jogging. The Fox Valley Ice Arena (FVIA) houses two ice rinks, a sporting goods store, a fitness center, and a pub and grill. Illinois Prairie Path
The Illinois Prairie Path spans approximately 61 miles in Cook, DuPage, and Kane Counties in northeastern Illinois. The trail is named for its rare segments of thousand-year-old prairies. It includes 62 miles of biking, hiking, jogging, equestrian, and nature trails which were formally a railway. The Geneva spur is at Route 25 in Bennett Park. Park and Garden Gems
Geneva's City Hall Prairie Garden features an array of native plants. The unique perennial plant combinations are inspired by the Lurie Garden in Chicago’s Millennium Park. Old Mill Park showcases a sculpture made of the remnant ironwork and wheel gears salvaged from the Old Mill building which burned down in 1971. The RiverPark is a native prairie, savanna and shoreline ecosystem on the Fox River. Visit RiverPark for a picnic, bird watching, and a stroll on its paved path. Wheeler Park
Wheeler Park is close to downtown Geneva right off of Route 31. Kids can play at the park’s space themed playground with soft flooring and shade.
